How to Set Up Countdown Timer on Cart

A countdown timer helps create a sense of urgency by showing customers a limited time to complete their purchase. This can encourage faster checkout decisions and help improve your store's conversion rate.

How to Set It Up​

Step 1: Enable Vairo App Embed​

  • Make sure the Vairo App Embed is enabled before setting up the Countdown Timer.
  • If you haven't enabled it yet, follow this guide: How to Enable Vairo App Embed.

Step 2: Activate Countdown Timer on Cart​

  • Open Vairo in your Shopify Admin.
  • Navigate to Conversion > Countdown Timer on Cart.
  • Click Activate and Save.

  • Configure the timer settings:
    • Enter the countdown duration (in minutes).
    • Choose what happens when the countdown ends:
      • Hide the timer
      • Repeat the countdown
    • Enter the announcement text displayed alongside the timer.

Note: The countdown timer starts automatically when a customer adds any product to the cart. It applies to all products and cannot be limited to specific items.

Step 3: Customize the Countdown Timer Appearance​

In the Appearance section, you can:

  • Select a timer template.
  • Apply custom colors.
  • Choose where the countdown timer appears on the cart page.

After completing the setup, visit your storefront to make sure the countdown timer displays correctly.
