How to Set Up Countdown Timer on Product Page

The Countdown Timer on the product page helps create a sense of urgency by showing customers a limited time to complete their purchase. This can encourage faster buying decisions and help improve your store's conversion rate.

How to Set It Up​

Step 1: Add the Countdown Timer Widget​

  • Open Vairo in your Shopify Admin.
  • Navigate to Conversion > Countdown Timer on Product Page.
  • Click Add widget.

You will be redirected to the Shopify Theme Editor.

  • Drag and place the Countdown Timer app block in your preferred position.
  • Click Save.

  • Return to the app and click Verify now to confirm the app block was added successfully.
  • After verification, click Add timer to create your first countdown timer.

Step 2: Configure the Timer Settings​

Click Add timer, then configure the countdown timer:

  • Enter the countdown duration (in minutes).
  • Choose what happens when the countdown ends:
    • Hide the timer
    • Repeat the countdown
  • Enter the announcement text displayed alongside the timer.

Note: The countdown timer starts automatically when a customer first visits a product page and continues counting down as they browse other pages. It applies to all products and cannot be limited to specific items.

Step 3: Customize the Countdown Timer Appearance​

In the Appearance section, you can:

  • Select a timer template.
  • Apply custom colors to the countdown timer.

Step 4: Schedule the Countdown Timer​

You can schedule when the countdown timer is displayed based on your store's timezone.

Choose one of the following options:

  • No schedule - The countdown timer is always displayed.
  • Specific date - Display the countdown timer during a selected date range.
  • Weekly - Display the countdown timer on selected days of the week and within specific time ranges.

After completing the setup, visit your storefront to make sure the countdown timer displays correctly.
